The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a role-playing video game in development by Snowblind Studios. It is based on the events taking place in the northern regions of Middle-earth in the background of the main story of J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The game is scheduled for release in North America on August 24, 2011.
